I am new to your board and wanted to say hello. I, along with the crew of Larry Herring Racing #96 Modified will be heading your way to race at your track on the first weekend in October. I operate the Lil' Racer Car Club at West Liberty (Iowa) Raceway located in Eastern Iowa. It is the junior fan club for the track. I am a fan of Mr. Larry Herring, and when they asked if I wanted to join them on their trip to New Hampshire, I jumped at the chance. From what I understand, one of your modified drivers is coming to West Liberty Raceway and racing on the dirt half mile clay oval that usually sees between 100-110 drivers each Saturday night from April- September. We have five divisions at West Liberty, Super late models, modifieds,Limited Late Models, Stock Cars, And 4-cylinder cars. My website is www.lilracercarclub.com for anyone who might be interested in what I do, and the track's website is: www.simmonspromotionsinc.com under West Liberty Raceway. Just wanted to say hello and we look forward to visiting Lee USA Speedway! Mitch Swinton, Lil Racer Car Club INC.

I hope you have a great time at Oktoberfest when you come up. Please stop by the announcer's booth and say hello.
West Liberty Speedway looks like a great track. If I ever find myself in Iowa on a Saturday night I'll have to check it out, I love dirt racing.
Larry and the crew will want to search for forward bite at Lee USA Speedway. One of the keys to victory here is being able to run high and low in the corners, the track tack helps a bit in that respect.
From a spectator standpoint there are a few things you might want to try when you're here...
If you like seafood you'll want to try out Captain Hutch's. Multiple awards have been won for their chowders (Clam and Corn available at the track, more at the resturant down the street). I HIGHLY reccomend the Winner's Circle deal, but then again I'm a big guy and I like my food.
Snag yourself a Tee Shirt or sweat shirt from Dan The T-Shirt Man in the turn 4 area. You'll be stunned at how inexpensive his prices are and how good his products are. The lowest prices I have seen anywhere in the country.
If you fancy yourself a singer, we will be having a kareoke party on Friday night, that's always a great time.
I see that you're big into kid's activities. If you are bringing any kids with you they might want to check out the Swings N Things Kid's Zone, which is a small playground near turn 1 which is pushed back from the track a bit for safety.
They may want to try their hands at the Big Wheel races as well.
I believe right now we have 12 divisions scheduled for Oktoberfest with more possibly being added.
Oktoberfest usually sees a good car count for every division with drivers coming from as far away as California and Florida.
Again, stop by the booth and say hello, and enjoy your time at "New Hampshire's Center of Speed" It's a fun track to say the least :-)

Thanks a bunch! Not bringing any kids with us, although there are 420 kids signed up with the club as of last count. Interested in getting new ideas for my club. I like the big wheel race idea but I know they are better suited for asphalt than our clay surface. I had a sand box installed at West Liberty but removed it halfway through the season as too many dirt and clods were being thrown over our barrier fencing and the safety of the kids became an issue. Can't wait to get a big bowl of chowder and some great tasting fish out there. Do your kids run boxcars, in addition to the Big Wheel races? Candy dashes and Nickel Scrambles? Adult Gunny sack races are a big hit here on those hot summer nights that we have here in the Midwest. They might work good for you folks too. Will the leaves be peaking then or is it already over by then? Looking forward to the drive, Mitch Swinton, Lil Racer Car Club INC.
